default
Posted on Thu, 9 Feb 2017
Question: I have been having irritation at the tip of my penis for 2 weeks now. Also, Frequent need to urinate, and some slight pus like material coming out of tip, very slightly. I am sexually active. Im pretty sure its a UTI or chlmydia. My question is, I have an extra pack of eziithromycin that I would like to take to clear this up. Is that ok to do?

Brief Answer:
Efficient for std

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome. generally,we don't recommend taking antibiotics before swab confirmation of std. but you can take single dose of 1000mg of azitromycin, and it should be effective against chlamydia and gonnorhea, but it may not be effective against UTI. However,if there is pus discharge then this is not likely to be UTI. Wish you good health. Regards
