Brief Answer:
seems to be due to electrolyte imbalance

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the query.

Uncontrolled muscle spasms and cramps especially in diabetic and hypertension patients are highly suggestive of electrolyte imbalance.

Due to electrolyte imbalances, the smooth functioning of muscle is hampered leading to spasms.

Other reason for such complaints is a reduced blood calcium level.

I suggest you to get blood calcium and electrolytes checked.

Based on the results, you can start taking vitamin and calcium tablets daily.
Drink plenty of fruit juices.

Do get the blood sugar levels checked. Many a times, sudden variations in blood sugar levels can also lead to such complaints.

I hope the answer was useful.

Do let me know the reports once they are ready.

Thank you.

Kind regards.
