What Causes Tiredness And Right Sided Chest Pain After Taking Bystolic?

default
Posted on Wed, 5 Aug 2015
Question: I was just put on Bystolic for high blood pressure. I feel very tired and I feel like I'm kind of in lala land. I have been having Minor right side pains in my chest. Nothing real bad. Not sure if I am over reacting but I asked my doctor and she said to continue taking it and the side effects should get better. It is hard to function during the day. Any suggestions. ?

Brief Answer:
What are your blood pressure readings?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these side effects you have reported. They are typical of Bystolic and other medications from this class. My advice is that your doctor should consider changing to a drug that doesn't have this side effect/ There are many drugs out there that can be use for this. He asked you to take a little longer and you abided to that and just now, things are no improving suggesting that he should revisit the treatment plan and make some changes. Drugs are meant to make us stronger and function better and not the other way around.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Let me know how this plays out with your doctor. If you have further concerns, please ask for clarifications. I will also like to know what your blood pressure and pulse readings are.

This is good control but a drastic drop!

Hi,

This is a drastic drop in your blood pressure. If you continue to feel very fatigued, please talk to your doctor and gets the medications reviewed.

Best wishes and keep me updated.
