Brief Answer:
Needs work up and management

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Swelling inside left cheek with difficulty swallowing is likely due to salivary glands with duct involvement . Infection or a mass both can present this way. At age of 77 i would say get it evaluated for the sialadenitis ( infection and swelling of parotid glands) as that is commonest. After that a complete thorough examination will help rule out other possible differentials and manage it accordingly.

Till then use fluids only in the diet and avoid citrus fruits as that will worsen the pain. Seek a doctor and let them decide what is best. I hope it helps. take good care of your sister and yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
