What Causes Swelling In The Armpit While Having Nerve Pain In The Leg?
Question: I am having a problem with my nerves. When I wake in the morning I cannot put my weight on my feet because the nerve especialy in my right leg is zinging. Also I have a large soft but swollen lump under my right arm in the arm pit. I am a 73 year old female.

By the description of your symptoms it is definitely due to irritation in the nerves.
There could be many reasons first is you could be having Vitamin B12 deficiency. Please check the levels with a blood test.
It could also be a degenerative back problem due to which nerves are involved especially on your right side to rule this out I would recommend you to get a x ray of the Lumbo sacral spine AP and lateral in flexion and extension.
Meanwhile to ease your symptoms please start Tab Meconeuron 500mcg daily for a month
Regarding the swelling in the arm pit please tell me for how long it is there and is there any pain and is it growing?

swelling, has been there for at least 2 weeks, however I noticed it getting larger about 2 days ago. I do have pain but not in the armpit. My pain is intermittent and intense and is in my back where my arm is attached. The pain is like a hot poker sticking in my back and last about 3 to 5 minutes.

If the swelling you are describing is so new, it could be an abscess.
Please apply hot formentation and apply Nadifloxacin ointment locally on the swelling twice a day for 10 days
