Question: My wife aged 55 yrs fell down today all of a sudden in her office. No visible reason is noted . Luckily she was not hurt . The levels of Sugar& Cholesterol are above normal and she is taking tabs for that (Glucobay , Glycomet G P1) and Roseday10 for Hypertension for about 4-5 years.

She is also having severe spondulotitis and was treated for it for many years. Now also the spondulotic symptoms aggravate under certain conditions. About 5 years back also she fell suddenly in public places and saved without any injuries.

Brief Answer:
Need to evaluate in detail.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your wife's symptoms and her current medications.

She needs detailed evaluation to ascertain the cause of falls. The common causes are syncope and seizures.

Tests would include blood pressure and blood sugar, as any drop can cause falls.

Also, an EEG should be done to rule out seizures (fits).

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
