Brief Answer:
Akin to tics and spasms

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
To recapitulate: Female/61 - severe spasms and tremors - left subphrenic area to flank to inguinal area - from time to time - sometimes can palpate the tightening of muscles externally and also feel them release - consulted a Doctor - taking Flexeril ...

Please give some additional information for me to assist you better:
- Since when have you got this problem?
- Any spinal problems, accidents or disc protrusions?
- How must has Flexeril has helped?
- Level of stress and/or anxiety?
- Any other information that you would like to share.

As per the history you have provided:
This can be akin to muscle tics and spasms.
Or can be nerve pinching syndrome.
Or a problem at the spinal level.

I would advise you the following in such a situation:
An opinion of a Neurologist for clinical evaluation, examination, may be nerve conduction studies, MRI of the spine and other investigations as would be advised.
If Flexeril is not working then other medicines may be tried - all are prescription based hence need a valid prescription from your Doctor/s.
Control of the stress and/or anxiety may be the most helpful if there is no organic lesion.
