What Causes Severe Fatigue And Dizziness While Having Mitral Valve Prolapse?

Posted on Wed, 12 Apr 2017
Question: Writing concerning my husband. He is a 67 year old, hi-level stress caucasian male who has been diagnosed with Lymes disease a year or so after he contracted it and has been thru IV antibiotics, IV vitamin therapy, holistic treatments, etc. during the last 3 1/2 yrs. He is still gets very fatigued, and has to nap. He also has mitral valve prolapse. His cardio doc said he could probably go 5 years before he would need a valve replacement. It's been about 4 years since the doc said that. Lately, he has dizzy spells. They don't last long, a few seconds to a minute. He is stuffing it off, like a guy. I don't know which doctor he should see, but I a dragging him there when we return from FL next weekend. He was also seeing a rheumatologist in the hope that he could pinpoint his aches. He has not told any of his doctors about the dizziness.

Brief Answer:
I think this situation is not related with Lyme diseases

Detailed Answer:
Hello! I have been through your question. Related to your husband's concerns I think this situation is caused by his mitral valve prolapse and not with Lyme disease ( after an long time antibiotic treatment).
Furthermore based on his symptoms I suggest to meet a cardiologist to define better the diagnosis and to take a proper treatment .
I hope my answer helps you.
I wish your husband a quick recovery.
Feel free to ask me further.
