Question: Hi, I have a 2 month old son, we were out shopping today and my husband an the baby stayed in the car while I was in the store, it was about 98 degrees out and the windows were down in the car parked under a small tree in the shade, I was in the store for about 45 min. when I came back to the car my sons face was red like he was hot and sweating a little, my husband said that he had not turned the air conditioning on in the car because it didn't seem to be too hot as they were in the shade. Since we have been back home the baby has been sleeping mostly but still fidgeting at times and not eating as much. I am just worried about him having heat stoke, is that a possibility?

Brief Answer:
not heat stroke

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Heat stroke requires a body temperature of more than 105 degrees with absent sweating.
Your baby doesn't have it. Don't worry.
It could be a mild heat exhaustion which is common in XXXXXXX weather.
You need to remove tight clothing, give him a bath and try feeding him frequently.
Ensure he passes urine atleast six to eight times a day.
If not consult your doctor
Wishing him good health and speedy recovery
