Question: My baby boy is 4 months old. He is fed on XXXXXXX Milk. Unfortunately, my wife cannot breast feed him so this is not an option anymore. My boy is developing a red skin around and in anus. We have tried to apply castor oil and also have visited local pediatrician. Doctor has prescribed "Proctosedyl BD". But the problem still persists. He is also having a constipation. Please Help. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
apply ezinapi

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
You may try ezinapi cream for red area around anus.
If not relieved then we will have to try some steroid containing cream. XXXXXXX and cows milk both causes constipation.
But i will suggest you to give formula feed. If not available last resort should be undiluted cows milk(boiled and cooled), you can add some sugar to it to help relive constipation.
Or you can give sip of water(boiled and cooled) in between feed so that stool will be softened.
Hope i helped you.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Can it be because of the lactose intolerance or allergy or acid reflux? He is also refusing milk recently so we have to feed him while he's half asleep. Can solid food like CERELAC help?

Brief Answer:
need stool test

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
But lactose intolerence will cause excessive loose stools and not the constipation.
But still you can check stool for reducing substances to confirm.
Allergy and reflux will have symptoms like vomitting which are not there so nothing to worry.
You just continue what i have suggested in previous answer.
Digeplex drops 10 drops two times a day may help in digestion and improves appettite.
Solids should be started after 6 months.
Hope i helped you.

Sir, my boy takes only 600ml to 750 ml of milk daily. Is it a matter of concern? Should he take some more? If yes, how?

Brief Answer:
adequate

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for follow up.
He is taking adequate milk, more important thing is to watch for weight gain.
And baby should pass urine 6 to 8 times per day.
From above two indicators we can say that milk is adequate or not.
That is if baby is passing urine adequatly and also gaining weight as per growth chart then we can say that the feeding is adequate.
Hope i helped you.
