Brief answer....it is absolutely a correct approach
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Your doctor is perfectly all right in ordering a urine culture and sensitivity test which can detect the type of organism as well as best antibiotic or antibiotics for its control.
Till your report comes, you have been put on SUPRAX 400 for the time being.
This antibiotic may be continued or changed according to your urine report.
Advise to you till then is...
Keep a regular watch on your blood sugar levels as well as keep a meticulous control of it,because high sugar levels help in thriving of bacteria and urinary tract infection becomes difficult to be treated.
Drink plenty of water to keep flushing your kidneys.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
