Question: I have been bleeding for 3 months now and I'm getting worried. The side effect of the Jadelle implant I wear on my arm is irregular menstrual cycles. But this is way too long a time. What must I do?

Brief Answer:
use antifibrinolytics

Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for contacting health care magic.

It is a known side effect of jadelle implant to have irregular menses for atleast 3 months or so , but if the bleeding is excess and not stopping then you may start antifibrinolytics for 5 days . this should control your bleeding and stop it in next few days.
As i advise in my clinic, you can use TAB TRANEXAMINIC ACID 500mg three times a day for atleast 5 days. This should help you.
Incase the bleeding doesnt stop, you should visit your gynaecologist and get yourself reviewed.

thanks,.
