Warm Welcomes. I appreciate your trust in HCM and assure you are on best portal on the globe for expert online medical services.
I have thoroughly reviewed health query you raised, and well realize all of those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.

You need to go for the basic check up by a Physician. He will take history of the disease and will go for some physical tests to evaluate the reason (e.g trousseau's sign and some other reflexes to see muscle and tendon status). Afterwards he will definitely have to run a battery of tests on you to get the diagnostic clarification of the cause.

Reasons may be the deficiency of mineral salts like Calcium which is needed for proper muscle functioning in body. Other tests may include but not limited to vitamin D, B12, Magnesium and sodium levels in serum, Thyroid and Parathyroid glands status, Liver and Kidney function tests etc.

Treatment goes accordingly.

Hope I addressed all the concerns you have. Let me know if you have further questions. I will be more than happy to clear any doubts. Please give your 'rating' (if agreed, Five Stars) to help me assist patients in a better way; and, please don't forget to click on 'Close The Discussion'.
For any disease you have, a timely follow-up is necessary regarding the treatment efficacy and to see if there is a need to change treatment options. So keep a follow up to see how you doing (Always write down my name in start of your questions at this forum & I will be with you in no time).

Brief Answer:
It is just a diagnostic test to see if there is low calcium in blood !!!

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back with a follow up query and I am glad to help you out for the medical concerns you have. I will extend some explanations to clear the doubts you have.

Trousseau's sign is a Physical test to see if there is low calcium in the body. It is carried out in the office of a Physician. It is painless, and takes a few seconds to minutes to complete the test on the arm and hand by using a blood pressure apparatus cuff around the arm.

Your Doctor will help you out for the same when you will go for the check up as aforementioned.
