What Causes Peeling Of Skin Around The Penis?
Question: my son who is 50 years old has a problem with his penis, all skin all over his penis has come off. what causes this condition and does he have a bacteria infection. He doesn't know I seen his private one day when he took a shower and did not know he drop his towel. Also, he does not swim with his kids. He was also once homeless.
Please tell me what he can do.

The most common causes for this condition are eczema and thrush (Yeast infection). Other causes are genital psoriasis, herpes, sexually transmitted disease etc.
You can try at-home treatments as the first line of defense.
Mild corticosteroid creams or highly emollient creams may eliminate or reduce peeling skin. Antifungal steroid combination like Betamethasone/Clotrimazole combination can be tried.
Try applying an oil, such as organic coconut oil, to the area to act as a skin emollient.
If symptoms persist despite all these, I'd suggest consulting a dermatologist and get him evaluated further.
