What Causes Peeling Of Hand Skin And Fever?
Question: Hello, my 7yr old's hands are peeling. He has no fever or any other sign of illness. I bought him to the doctor a week ago and they assured me that he had a mild virus and to just put Vaseline on the affected area and place gloves on his hand to prevent him from picking his skin. But now his knee caps had begun to peel and the top of his toes also.

I am so sorry to hear about what your soon is experiencing. As long as you son eats normal, plays normal and presents no other problem, these symptoms would heal with time. I am of the same opinion as his doctor who thinks we need no aggressive measures at this time. I will like to see you continue the same treatment and time would certainly be the answer. As the skin peels off, it signals the beginning of the end to this infection.
In all, there is no need to panic right now. If possible, send an image to me for further review as well. It would soon be well.
