Brief Answer:
Get xray done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

I want to know the following details before I comment on it:
- whether it is soft or hard,
-whether its local temperature is raised or not
-for how long the knot is there,
- and is there any history of trauma?

It could be any thing from hair pluck to cyst so please send me the picture of it.

In this circumstance, I would order for X-ray of both knees standing in AP view. You can send the report to me for further discussion. Till then avoid squatting, upstairs and cycling as much as you can. You can take oral pain killers like aceclofenac+thiocolchicoside if needed. Those are prescription only medicine.

I will be ale to advise you treatment in more easy way by getting above information from you.

I hope you have got my point.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
