Posted on Tue, 24 Mar 2015
Question: I had lung cancer 1 year ago and they removed 1/2 my right lung. 3-4 months after my right should and arm hurt so bad. I had cortisone shots and it helped for awhile, but my pain is back
I had chest X-ray which is fine today, but my last one showed a small air leak that I guess corrected it self

Now today I have pain in right shoulder, neck and arm
What could be happening
My vit D is also very low and I'm on 40000 ui once a week

Brief Answer:
Visit a doctor, get a bone scan done, apply hot compression

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

With your symptoms, you should get yourself checked by a doctor who could assess if you have bone metastasis from the cancers that you had. He might need to get an isotope bone scan done to confirm on the same. Cortisone shots might also be required. Hot compress should provide relief. Further treatment depends upon the findings.

Hope that helps.
