Question: My Father in law has pain in knees. After consulting an orthologist and carrying out MRI scan, the doctor suggeseted to go for a laproscopic(microscopic) surgery on both the knees. I am looking out for a alternative opinion. MRI reports are attached herewith. Please suggest if its must to carry out a surgery in such cases.

Well I would like to know which surgery is recommended by your doctor , is it the ligament repair or regarding the removal of tendinosis .

Please tell me the detail then only I will be able to suggest you.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for reverting back.

I have gone through the prescription but I dont think he has mentioned regarding surgery in that but somewhere I couldnt get the handwriting .

Anyways he must be talking regarding the ligament tear and I agree with him that you can get the surgery done . Because if not repaired it may progress further , it will be a very small surgery and since microscopically done healing is very good. You can go ahead with it , there is no alternative method for repair of tear.
