Brief Answer:
Take enough preventive measures.....

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and i can understand your concern very well.

It's a very common problem in summer, when temperature goes higher. Summer months can be dry and hot and the low humidity is enough to dry the protective coating of mucus that covers the inside of your nasal cavity. Once the protective mucus is gone your nasal cavity is prone to dryness that can cause bleeding. Summer months can aggravate allergies and that can also cause bleeding. In most cases, anterior nose bleeds are there rather than posterior. You will need to consult an ENT to rule out any nasal pathology for chronic nose bleeding.

You might not be able to change the season to prevent nose bleeds, but there are a few things that you can do to prevent nose bleeds in summer. So i would recommend you to keep your nostril moisture by applying some moisturizing cream or simple saline nasal drops.

Consume more vitamin K containing foods like green leafy vegetables, because it is required for prothrombin synthesis and prothrombin is useful in blood clotting. Also consume more citrous fruits which contains vitamin C and it keeps the blood vessels strong. Eat diet rich in iron like jaggery, spinach, pulses, green leafy vegetables, etc. Avoid going in excessive sunlight and heat. You can use air humidifier to keep your home safe for you in summer. Avoid using NSAIDS and other blood thinning drugs.

Whenever nose bleeds, make a little ball of cotton and soak the ball in saline solution or vinegar solution or lemon juice. Now sit in upright position and stick the cotton ball on your nose. It helps to prevent the nose bleeding by clotting the blood. It has another benefit that it helps to keep your nostril moisture. Keep your head elevated till the bleeding stops. You can apply ice over there which reduces inflammation and gives you relief due to numbing sensation.

Hope this will help you and let me know if you have any further relevant queries.
