Brief Answer:
Mucus thickening is not normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for the query.
Mucus thickening is not normal.
As per your clinical history (blockage in the back of my nose constantly & post nasal drip ) , it appears as you are having Chronic Rhinosinusitis .
I would like to whether you have any allergy & recurrent sneezing .
If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you Steam Inhalation thrice daily , Saline nasal spray thrice daily , mucolytic syrup & Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Leukotriene antagonists Montelukast combination & Macrolide Antibiotic .
You can discuss this with your treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
