Brief Answer:
The child may find the food not palatable

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking back on HealthcareMagic.

It is not unusual for many children to be fussy eaters. Since the child is otherwise active and taking breast feeding, it seems less likely to be a cause of worry. Had he been ill, he would probably have not been feeding anything properly. Moreover, he is not crying and hence not expressing any discomfort. The bowel sounds are normal and not a cause of worry. He does not have fever either. If the frequency of passage of urine remains normal, probably the child is getting the nutrition that is required.

It rather seems to me that the child does not find the solids palatable. Please take care that the food that you give to your child should be such that you too find it palatable enough to consume for yourself. Do this and give him the feeds as per his demand and see if there is a difference. If you are still not quite satisfied after the interventions, visit your doctor and get a routine blood count done. A normal report should be assuring for you.

Hope that helps. Feel free to revert back in case of further queries if any.
