Question: I am experiencing pain in mt left abdomen just above the waist line about three inches from my naval and about 2 inches deep. What could this possibly be. I have not strained myself and the pain came on strong pretty fast. Almost unbearable. I have taken 4 advil and they helped ease the pain considerably. That was about 4 hours ago. Brief Answer:
Need investigations for proper diagnosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
The commonest cause of pain at an area that you have mentioned may be intestinal spasm or left ureteric colic.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
You need to go to ER as you need an urgent X-ray of abdomen in standing position.
Ultrasonography of whole abdomen.
Clinical evaluation by a Doctor.
Tests of urine, blood and stool if you collect sample.
Antispasmodic- may be injectable.
All these will give the proper diagnosis and proper plan of management.
Cost will depend upon the investigations done and fees.

I hope this answer helps you.
