These are likely to be urticaria. It is usually an allergic reaction. The causative agent can be anything that you come into contact, new clothes, new cosmetics, sprays, food items and the list may be long. If you notice that it is related to any of these agents, then the best solution is to avoid it if possible.
You may also find relief with an antihistamine tablet like Desloratidine taken once a day.
