The heart beats increased and decreased similar to increased and decreased burps. When burps stopped everything was fine. But it continued for 4 hours. After 3 weeks again I had the same experience. But now as soon as I lay down or try to sleep burps starts and increased heart beat but not that intensity but feel some heaviness in heart. I get up stand for 30 to 40 min burps stop again its normal. I am given Rablet 20 one each day after dinner but its not so effective. Kindly suggest.

Brief Answer:
Gas trouble that aggravated by anxiety.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX Welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.

First of all don't worry much regarding your problem because many people has this type of similar complaints of palpitations and burping at night. Mostly anxiety related to this episodes of burping and palpitations aggravates everything.

My advice to you is -

1. Take combination of Rabeprazole plus levosulphide, 2 times a day.. (written prescription from your doctor is advisable) levosulpride will help to prevent burping. You can continue this combination as long as you require.

2 . During episodes of palpitations and anxiety you can take tab propranolol just after the episode started, along with clonazepam mouth dissolving tablets. Ask your doctor about this. This is the standard treatment and will relieve your symptoms immediately.

3.Avoid food at late night, do daily brisk walking, yoga and exercise. Avoid excessive salads, rice, potatoes, cauliflower which can increase gas trouble.

4.Usually palpitations and uneasiness in your case is secondary to gas only but it's better you rule out heart related issues also. Just go for routine ecg and echocardiography, it will give idea regarding heart functions.

5.Do your routine tests like thyroid profile, lipid profile, blood sugar levels, CBC, sonography of abdomen (stomach).

My advice will definitely help you to relieve the symptoms. Any other information or questions are always welcome.. Tell me after meeting with your doctor anything you ask.

Thank you.
Have a nice day.

Thank you for ur advice.
I visided my doctor again for check up and did my ECG.
He said ECG was normal and everything was normal.
He prescribed me PEPCIA 20 one tablet each after morning meal and said everything was fine and I need to exercise regularly.
But I still get burps and increased heart beats after sleeping but intensity has reduced.
Kindly suggest if I can take what u have prescribed above, also how and what duration.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Yes. You should take tablets I have advised.

Detailed Answer:
Hey XXXXXXX I am happy that you feel better after my advice. Your doctor has prescribed the same medicine you have already tried. It will reduce your acidity but has little effect on burping.

Kindly ask your doctor to give you Rabeprazole /pentoprazole with levosulpride combination.
Take this combination 2 times a day before food for 10 days. Then also as an when required you can take on empty stomach.
When you feel palpitations, take tab propranolol and clonzepam as I have advised but you need prescription for that.

It's good that ecg is normal but if palpitations persists, we will think of holter monitoring. At present it's not necessary.

Also follow my other advices regarding diet, exercise and blood reports.
Thank you.
Any other questions are always welcome XXXXXXX
Have a nice day.
