Brief Answer:
Detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Headache is one of the most common symptoms of Idipoathic Intracranial Hypertension, but characteristics of the headache you describe are not commonly found in IIH.

However, if other symptoms of the Idipoathic Intracranial Hypertension that lead to diagnosis are improving with treatment ( Acetazolamide) and headache is not, then other causes of your symptoms should be assessed.

A possibility is Occipital Neuralgia, a condition where occipital nerves are damaged by pressure or other causes along their way.

I suggest you to discuss with your Neurologist this condition too as a possible cause of your symptoms.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
