What Causes Frequent Uncontrolled Episodes Of Crying?

default
Posted on Fri, 14 Aug 2015
Question: For the last few years I have been getting worse. I I cry easily and have trouble stopping. It is affecting my job, and once I start i cant seem to stop for a while. The more I stifle it, the harder I cry. I am not depressed; I have always been very sensitive. Also, I am not going through the change, because I had my ovaries out with my hysterectomy in 2006.
Also, the crying response is appropriate to the emotions I am feeling, and there is a valid reason to be upset (I cry when I am angry or sad). I do not cry for no apparent reason, but rather the crying is just too strong of a response to the situation, and certainly inappropriate for the time and place.

Brief Answer:
mood dysregulation

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM
From your information i could understand that
You have been emotionally unstable that has led to frequent uncontrolled episodes of crying.
An history of hysterectomy in past.

I am considering emotional dysregulation problems that may or may not be due to underlying possible hormonal issues.

I would like to know if
1) Do you feel during these episodes low, irritable, have sleep problems, loss of interest in daily routine work, increased tiredness?
2) Are there any worries that running through your mind, that bothers you?
3) Do you find and feel yourself lonely?
4) How hopeful are you for your future?

Secondly, i would like to know
1) if you are taking any hormonal supplements, or any medications?

A local psychiatrist consultation is advisable as for a definitive diagnosis a detailed work up of complaints and clinical examination is must.
