Question: I have belching, with a foul taste, accompanied by flatulence. After about 8 hours it progresses to watery diarrhea and a stomach Clearing vomit episode. I thought food poisoning at first, but I’ve had three separate occurrences over the last 5 months

Brief Answer:
Chronic gastroenteritis.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Most likely you are suffering from Chronic recurrent Gastroenteritis. It is an intestinal infection marked by diarrhoea, cramps, nausea, vomiting. If not treated properly recurrent episodes are there.
As it's recurrent in your case take a course of following antibiotics and antiprotozoal medicine.

Tab Ofloxacin
Tab Metronidazole

You would need a prescription for that.

Along with it take a probiotic like VSL#3.

Get an ultrasound abdomen done and a stool routine microscopy test has to be done to see the nature of the infection.

Drink boiled water.

Eat very light food while on medication.

If episodes repeat even after 5 days of therapy then we would investigate you on lines of irritable bowel syndrome.

Hope I have answered your query.
