Question: Hello Doctor, Good Day. This is XXXXXXX XXXXXXX I am having a OUTGROWTH of Skin (like a bulge) of 2 cms on my RIGHT FOOT, towards the RIGHT SIDE. I have pain while walking, when I keep my foot stand still, I donot have any pain. It looks like a BLISTER It would greate if you can help me and suggest any further diagnosis or any medication like Ointment.

What might be possible cause of this? There is NO DISCHARGE coming from it, but when I slightly press with my hand also I get slight pain in the area. It is there for around 2 weeks.

Thanks a lot for your attention and time,

Brief Answer:
This looks like a callocity

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and image of the feet. i think it can be a callocity or a corn. It is thicekning of skin due to prolong standing. It is common if there is problem in foot wear or there is abnormal foot shape like flat feet.
I would suggest you to follow these steps.
1. Do not wear very tight shoes or high heel.
2. Avoid walking bare feet or standing for long time.
3. Hot water fomentation.
4.Readymade silicone insoles are also avilable.
If there is increase in pain or any discharge os present than you should consult a dermatologist. Also apply compression bandage.
I hope these steps will help you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks

Dear Dr. XXXXXXX
Thanks a lot for your quick diagnosis and suggestions.

Do you suggest applying any OINTMENT?

As of now there is no discharge coming out, in case I get a discharge or the problem increase I would consult a dermatologist as per your recommendation.

Is there any chance for it to spread to other areas of the foot?

Regards,

Brief Answer:
There is no need of ointment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I do not recommend any ointment. And you can show to dermatologist if there is increase in size. Also you should not use tight foot wear. Avoid any moisture in foot.
