Brief Answer:
Several causes possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX,

Welcome to HCM
I understand your concern.
You did not mention whether your husband has fever or not. If there is no fever, it is less likely to be an infection. Other causes like labrynthitis ( an inner ear infection, often viral) can produce dizziness , nausea and sweating. A vertebro-basilar insufficiency can be another possibility.
If there is fever, it does not have to be malaria. A urinary infection also presents with fever and chills. Yellow fever vaccination would protect against yellow fever. People can get a drug resistant malaria even if they are on prophylactic medicines.
I could give a better opinion if you could let me know all the symptoms including any fever, any change in sensation over the body or any tinnitus ( buzzing sound in the ear)
