Posted on Tue, 19 Mar 2019
Question: My doctor just increased my dose of lamotrigine from 200 to 300 mg. I’ve taken the new dose for 2 nights. I’m expieriemcig dizziness and lack of coordination which started the first morning after increasing the dose. She also put me on a low dose of of seroquel.. I just took that for 1 night because I thought that is what was causing the reaction.. I can barely type this. Also my mind is a bit fuzzy. I’m not bipolar. Just depression that increased recently.

Brief Answer:
I will recommend you step back to 200 mg of lamotrigine and let's monitor!

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Seen the symptoms and temporal nature after the increased dose, I recommend that you go back to the 200mg and notify your doctor about this change. Also, we would be able to monitor your symptoms closely to see if there is a change or not. If they do change, that is a clear sign that this was caused by the increased dosage. If they don't, then we will look for other possible causes which might not be immediately evident to us.

I hope these guides and helps.

I wish you well.
