Brief Answer:
Yes she can plan 2nd baby after surgery but there is chance of recurrence

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I can understand your concern. It is a common finding in many females after delivery.
Typically the separation of abdominal muscles lessens within the first 8 weeks after childbirth. Your daughter is 4 weeks postpartum. So she can hope the bulge to reduce with time.
It has been seen that exercises may help in reducing the size of the gap in postpartum females. But you need to consult a good physiotherapist for learning the exercises.
In extreme cases diastasis recti is corrected by abdominoplasty to create a tighter abdominal wall. Yes she can plan second baby after surgery but there is always a chance of recurrence of diastasis recti. So it is better to undergo surgery after completion of family.
I hope to have answered your query.
