What Causes Brown Discharge After Tying Tubal Ligation?

Question: My daughter was born July 13th then I had my tubes tied august 28th and stopped bleeding about 2 weeks maybe 3 weeks after I had my tubes tied. The beginning of this month I started bleeding or so I thought but it's just been a brown discharge never really changed in color never got my actual period. It's been going on all month. Why the brown discharge?
