What Causes Bluish Discoloration On Penis After Wearing A Penile Extender?
Question: Hi doctor
- 5 days ago i wore a penile extender for the first time which is something i should have not done it
-The device is called (andropenis from andromedical) , the instructions of the device said to wear it for 4 hours , i wore it for 3 hours only separately ( 2 hours afternoon and 1 hour night) during wearing it i noticed bluish color at the glans so i released the noose till the color disappeared
-But next day my penis was abnormal
-Normal sensation , no discoloration , but weak erection and unsustained , and it is still untill now
-I hardly achieve erection that doesn't remain long , sometimes i ejaculate before full erection
-I am so afraid don't know what to do
-I need your advice is it venous injury? Or what
-and if it is so Could it heal with time?
by the way i am a radiologist so please i want specific medical answer

Thanks for writing to us.
I am somewhat surprised that though being a radiologist, you had used such device.However no need to worry.
From your explanation I guess following had happened.
Due to that device venous circulation was hampered and engorgement in glans occurred.Bluish discoloration suggest cyanotic changes.As you have removed the device/loosen the device, circulation reverted back to normal and discoloration disappeared.
Now after that you were able to get erection (though not long) and ejaculation (though early) suggest that venous circulation has maintained.
Problem is likely due to venous wall musculature stretching due to engorgement.No need to do any intervention as it will gradually gain its elasticity on its own and you will be able to last longer.Any intervention may harm it.
I suggest, wait for 3 days and refrain yourself from any sexual/masturbation activity.So any injury stretching/injury will heal on its own if it is there. After that you will be able do do normally as before.
As you are radiologist, if you feel you can go for penile Doppler for confirmation that everything is fine.
And last but not the least never use such device or any other method to elongate penis. If any problem related to sex, consult psychiatrist/sexologist without hesitation.
