Posted on Wed, 17 Sep 2014
Question: I had a small cut on the shaft of my penis. It's healed but now I have shiny spot where the cut used to be and the skin spot hasn't grown it's skin back to normal. It looks to be a little thinner than normal. Will the skin grow back to normal? I don't want the cut to open again.

Brief Answer:
Looks like local fibrosis has occurred.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Its looks like local fibrosis has replaced the spot of scar, normal skin won't grow back at this spot. But the fibrotic tissue in this place won't let the cut open up.

Its common to get such shiny and thin tissue in the places of cuts.It shouldnt be cause of concern, if its not interfering erection.

But do avoid getting cuts in future.

Hope this answers your question. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.
