I read carefully all your concerns and I can say that fluttering and caltech sensation in right abdomen may be due to :
- large bowel peristalsis
- IBS
I would like to know more about your symptoms like:
- do you have diarrhea /constipation
- are your symptoms related with food
- do you have gas or bloating ?
Otherwise there is nothing to be worried about your symptoms.

This seems to have started and has happened
3 or so weeks after I woke up ine morning severrly dehydrated. Any idea if related?

Yes, it may be related.

Usually after dehydration bowel spasms are more frequently, it helps to move the feces .
This is why dehydration is related to your symptoms.

Meantime, I would suggest to take plenty of water. It will help to improve your symptoms.
