What Causes A Cyst In The Breast?

Question: My son is 17 and in great shape, but one of his nipples has been hard for a couple of months and there is clear fluid coming out of it when he squeezes it. It is just his right nipple. He says it feels like a lump there. What is this condition? And what is the treatment? He is currently on 40 mg of Zenatane (twice daily) and has been for the last 5 months. Could this be the cause? Thank you.

Hi
As per medical literature, zenatane doesn't cause nipple discharge.
Normally,ducts will open into the nipple.If the duct is inflammed, clear discharge can come from nipple.Lump could be palpable in these cases.
I prefer to get an Ultrasound of the affected Breast. If any lump is detected, FNAC ( FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION CYTOLOGY ) of it can confirm the diagnosis.
Most probably, it could be a benign swelling. Cancer will not occur at the age of 17.

I think is might be a benign cyst? If so, is there some home remedy we can do to make it go away?

I don't think of cyst in a Male breast. There are no home remedies for it.
Ultrasound of the affected Breast will give a clue.
