I understand your concern and would explain that there are different type of anti-arrhythmic drugs, which can help treat and prevent cardiac arrhythmia. But their main adverse effect is exacerbation of bradycardia.

For this reason, when dealing with a patient with bradycardia, it is important to exclude possible Sick sinus Syndrome, which would need installation of a pacemaker.

The pacemaker would help prevent possible bradycardia while taking anti-arrhythmic drugs and would make anti-arrhythmic drugs safe in such case.
