Brief Answer:
Condition explained

Detailed Answer:
Myocardial hibernation is a condition where cells of the heart sleep (therefore hibernation) when blood supply to the muscle resumes after a pause in the blood flow. When they have rested, hibernated cells wake up and start functioning normally again.

Myocardial stunning is similar. But the cells get active much more quickly.

The idea is that since overall the cells return to their normal functioning, one does not get a weak heart because of these conditions. Its like giving rest to any other pulled muscle till it has healed and starts functioning again

So, no. No long term damage to the heart by either condition

Thank you very much for answering my question. I did have a stent put in after a 95%, so even though I had a myocardial hibernation. There would be no further harm to be concern with?
