Hello

After going through the medical details forwarded by you I can understand your concern and I would like to tell you that before giving any medical I would like to personally review as it’s important to understand the scenario as a whole which not just includes Lv ejection fraction and severity of Mitral valve regurgitation but also includes other parameters which should be considered like pulmonary artery pressures, LV dimensions etc.

Kindly upload full report of the patient.

Detailed Answer:
Medications includes Penicillins which she is already taking, Diuretics to reduce the intensity of mitral regurgitation, ACE inhibitors for LV protection. Dosage can only be decided after personally examining the patient.

So it’s highly advisable that you should take her to cardiologist and get her evaluated and then you can discuss this information provided here with the doctor.

Hope to have been helpful.

Not particularly these 3 medications will be life long, and the medication regime will depend upon the current situation of the patient and status of the disease in future.

But yes some medications have to be continued for a long period of time.
