Throat Tightness That Started 2 Weeks Ago. Throat Got Really
Question: Throat Tightness that started 2 weeks ago. Throat got really tight and unforcomrtable about 2 Weeks ago and it lasted until bed that night. Throat tightness seems to come and go but usually happens after eating or drinking. Food sometimes feel that it get stuck in the throat. I have no chocked while drinkkng or eating. Throat seems to feel upon waking in the morning and at bedtime. Menthol throat lounges seem to help make the tightness go away. The tightness doesnt seem to be as severe as it was when it first started, but i do have a fear that food will get stuck when eating. Concerned throat may be due to a serious condition or neurological consition such as tumor in head.

This blocking sensation may be due to acid reflux or due to lesions obstructing the voice box. If there is any lesions within the larynx then it can be treated accordingly by surgery or any other measures. If it is due to acid reflux then it can be treated by anti reflux measures. I have visited an ENT and was told that the issue sounded like reflux and was given 40mg of pantoprazole. I am currenrly on day 6 of taking the medicine. I have had a CT of the neck and chest as well as a brain MRI which came back normal. The ENT did not perform endoscopy however. I am sometimes able to eat solids without much trouble but other times are harder.
