Question: The pain in my groin is terrible. What at home remedy can I try?

First, if there is a bulge felt or swelling, then it may indicate groin or femoral hernia and in this case, you should get it checked up at the ER.

Otherwise, it is most likely caused by injury or nerve impingement. In that case, you should apply cold compresses, rest, put analgetic ointment, and take nonsteroid painkillers e.g. Acetaminophen. If there is no improvement you should see a neurologist for further evaluation.

There is no bulge. Could it be related to nerve damage to my right foot and knee from a torn surgery
The groin pain is on t the left side

Yes, it may be nerve damage or referred pain from previous injuries or surgeries. You should do MRI of groin to see if there is some pathology seen. This could verify possible nerve compression at spine level as well.
