Brief Answer:
Selective memory suppression

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Selective memory suppression is possible by some techniques and an individual can consciously block an unpleasant memory. Many of these techniques focus on blocking the retrieval of a memory using different suppression techniques to slowly teach the brain to suppress the memory. However there may not be equal success with everyone. These memories are not truly removed but merely suppressed .The memory itself is called a repressed memory.

There are also certain drugs trial with some success to block unwanted memories.

You need to consult a neurologist preferably one with specialization on memory disorders. A dedicated institute of Neurology will have in their faculty such kind of Neurophysician.

Another method is through meditation.
