Question: Hi Doctor, From the last 15 days I have been getting sun burns. My face is becoming red after I venture out in the sun. Also marks are appearing on my hands and neck. Attached is the doctors prescription and an image. I have been applying these medicines, however do not see much results so far. Could you please help. Also please advise any good sunscreen as I have oily skin and applying sunscreens is leading to skin breakouts. Thanks a lot

Brief Answer: clobetasol, photobloc Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for the query and photograph. The diagnosis seems to be correct and even good prescription is given. Only problem is with sunscreen. You need a sunscreen with 50 + spf. Follow the following treatment schedule. 1. Apply ointment clobetasol ( diprovate ) in night. 2. Apply photobloc sunscreen in day. ( at 8 am. 11 am, 2 pm ). 3. Continue with carofit capsules. Do this for 15 days and let me know the results. Let me know if you have any other doubts. Thank you

Thanks for your response doctor. Just wanted to make sure photobloc sunscreen if suitable for oily skin type. I usually get pimples in summers and applying sunscreens makes it worse.

Brief Answer: photobloc is better Detailed Answer: Hello photobloc might cause problem for oily skin. However your main medication is strong sunscreen as you have photo allergy. I would suggest you to give it a try as it is very good sunscreen. If it does not suit you, buy suncote sunscreen. It suits for acne prone skin, but spf is 26. Hope it works for you. Thank you
