Question: I have a synovial cyst on middle finger of right hand which sometimes gets infected which affects the nail bed and deforms the nail. How can I get rid of the sinovial cyst. My GP has tried to cut it out but it is back as before emitting a clear jelly like fluid when squeezed.

Brief Answer:
You may send the picture of hand,If possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. To understand better please tell me -are you diabetic and when did you first noticed the cyst?
You may send the picture of hand if possible. The only solution looks to be revision surgery and it may or may not involve the removal of nail along the cyst.MRI test will help us to define the boundary of cyst.
Looking forward to your reply.
Take care

An MRI report reads "a 1x 0.6cm left synovial cyst is anteriorly displacing and possibly impinging the traversing left L5 nerve root. Is there clinical evidence to suggest left L5 nerve root impingement?" What kind of clinical evidence does this mean? My pain is in my lower back and down into my right leg, not my left leg.

Hi, I recently got an MRI of the lumbrosacral spine for severe pain radiating down my left side ( sciatica ), & these were the findings which I'm confused about. The conus medullaris & cauda equina are normal. There is a hemangioma formation noted...

Spinal surgery suggested MRI says I have L4/5 secondary to moderately severe facet arthrropathy that is asymmetric . In addition there is a 10 x 5x14mm synovial cyst arising from the left facet joint and this is having a significant mass effect on canal contents which are compressed and displaced , particularly the left L5 nerve root. I am on pain relief , Celebrex. Fluid tabs. Methotrexate , planquinal for arthritis . To remove cyst and fuse l5/4 can you tell me is this the only approach . Rose

I am a 28 year old female and have been in great health until recently. I have never been overweight. I am 5"5 and weigh 135 lbs and have always been healthy and active. I have been diagnosed with severe degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, a synovial cyst, and osteonecrosis in my hips. I was just wondering if this will affect my ability to conceive? I have a 3 and a half year old son and had a c-section with him that was unplanned and I actually ended up pu lling 3 internal stitches from it.
