Suggest Treatment For Sudden Loss Of Coordination

default
Posted on Sat, 8 Nov 2014
Question: In Drugs.com under Side Effects the categories are: More Common, Less Common and Incidence not known. My wife has been on IM Faslodex for about 6 weeks and about 3-4 weeks after first injection has developed sudden loss of coordination, vision changes and cough. All of these are noted under "Incidence not known". As a retired OB/Gyn I would like to know how often these three events are found and listed as "Incidence not known.'? AstraZeneca does not have any information on these three. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Inadequate reporting of these symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting your query.

Even I went through the website and found those side effects under Incidence not known.

See these symptoms are grouped under that category because there has not been proper or adequate reporting of these symptoms as side effect. The reason why there has been inadequate reporting is either these side effects are extremely rare or the investigators couldn't establish a direct causal relationship between these symptoms and the usage of the drug.

In my opinion other causes for these symptoms has to be evaluated like Stroke , Encephalitis or Encephalopathy or Para neoplastic syndrome.

Hope this information is of some use to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask.

Regards.
