Suggest Treatment For Skin Discolouration And Patches On Mons Pubis
Question: What do you think white patches on the top of the vagina (mons pubis) would be? Ive had it for about a year looks like discoloured skin. Recently over time I have gotten more patches now on the crease from my vagina to my thigh. I have a couple spots on the bottom of my bum as well. I will be going to the doctor but just thought it wouldnt hurt to get a second opinion.

Skin of the labia discolored with white patches can be a sign of a disease called lichen sclerosus, which is most common of women of menopausal age. Itching, burning, and/or bleeding of the skin on the vulva could also be signs of a health problem — anything from a skin condition to an STD. This can be confirmed with a biopsy.
Another possibility could be vitiligo, which needs to be examined and confirmed with a biopsy.
If possible you may send a picture of the same for better diagnosis.
