Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Keppra
Question: i had a siezure july 23,so i went thru all the testing and evrything,seen aneurologist,they p,ut me on kepra,i started bruising,and i lost weight,i looked at side effects.seems like i,d be better off without medicine.

Every drug has some or other side effects.
You can change over to Valproate or phenytoin if you are having intolerable side effects with keppra.
Discuss with your treating neurologist regarding change of drugs.
What was the Mri and eeg findings?
The initial few weeks are having more side effects which improves with time.

to Dr XXXXXXX at the hospital,their mri didn,t show anything,they said a seizure of unknown causes,so i went and found another neurologist,i didn,t want it to be a siezure because i can,t drive for 6 months,so i see the doctor on thursday to go over the results of the mri,a new one was taken,and also the eeg,thanks XXXXXXX

The diagnosis of seizure is based on clinical presentation and investigations are supportive.
In many cases all investigations are normal but we have to give treatment considering it idiopathic epilepsy.

Dr XXXXXXX thru the years i have smoked,i,m 59 now,a few years ago it was leg pains so they put me on plavix,i slowed down the smoking but didn,t quit.i know i want to blame my problems on everything else but the smoke.i had this siezure,put me on keppra,;ike i told you,the bruising is growing and now a spot on my left arm is showing up.i,ve put the smoking away,i hope everthing else clears up,i want to say it,s the keppra but i suppose it,s a combination of all of it,talk with you later XXXXXXX
