Suggest Treatment For Severe Skin Burn
Question: Dear HCM,
I am attaching below the photographs of my wife who had a burn accident some 13 years back. I would like to know what is the percentage recovery possible on the face with plastic surgery and what is the expenses involved the surgery?

I had a look at the pictures of your wife.
She has settled well, but yes she has some stigmata of burns and some areas of extensive scarring and contractures.
One thing you have to realise is that the scars are permanent, they will not go away.
There are a few options we can do like some scar releases, Z plasties contracture release , steroid injections and or fat grafting to improve the texture of the scars.
Giving an exact estimate of all the procedures would be difficult as would be the treatment. Though I don't see any major interventions but multiple small procedures will have to be done at intervals to try and improve on the final result.
The best would be to talk to a Plastic surgeon locally so all this can be done and the follow ups can be maintained.

Can you say that if scars will not go, then what is the benefit of all the above? Will she look better? If yes, to what extent?
