Brief Answer:
They could be related

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Please post the picture of the bruise on your buttock, if possible. You can simply upload/attach it to the reports section of this web-page.

As per your description, it seems like your inguinal (groin) lymph nodes are enlarged and painful due to Infection and inflammation.

Infection from the buttocks (bruise)might have spread to groin lymph nodes.
I prescribe antibiotic like CEFUROXIME, an anti-inflammatory like Diclofenac to my patients with similar complaints.

If there is no response, I get an Ultrasound of the groin area and rule out Inguinal Hernia.
Nothing to worry.
Please consult your doctor and get the appropriate prescription.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further. Wish you good health and speedy recovery.
Regards
