Question: My brother is having horrible leg cramps and cannot walk , what should we do?

If it is severe and started just now, best to go to ER.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your question.

First you need to make him sit down.

Do not try to make him walk.

Ask him to stretch his legs and sit, legs shouldn't be completely flexed or completely extended.

Keep them in mid flexed position.

Gently massage the calf muscle, or which ever muscle is cramping.

If the cramps do not go away, then please take him to the ER.
